The seal of King Hezekiah, an Egyptian amulet from the days of the Pharaohs, Babylonian arrowheads, jewels, mosaic stones and coins – these are only some of the exciting discoveries found over the years at the sifting project in the Emek Tzurim National Park.  Many more treasures are still hiding in the debris of ancient Jerusalem, and you have the opportunity to discover them!

  • Advance reservations are recommended. Walk-ins will be accepted based on availability!
  • The activity takes place in the sifting tent at the Emek Tzurim National Park Visitors and Activity Center
  • Time: Approximately 1.5 hours
  • Groups must reserve in advance.

Arrival Directions to the Emek Tzurim National Park


Public Transportation 
Buses: 4, 30, 19, 17, 68, 69,51,83 reach the Hebrew University at Mount Scopus, and then it is a 20 minute walk. You must walk down a long path with stairs, which is not accessible to baby strollers.
