The ancient cemetery on the Mount of Olives is now accessible on the internet: Elad Foundation has digitized tens of thousands of graves in the cemetery in Jerusalem. Information about the individuals buried at the site, directions to the area, and tour routes can be found on their website.

Among those who are buried at the cemetery are several of the nation’s great figures, including the reviver of the Hebrew language Eliezer Ben Yehuda, Nobel laureate in literature Shay Agnon, former Prime Minister Menachem Begin, and the novelist and poet Henrietta Szold. Also buried on the mount are the founder of the Bezalel Academy Boris Schatz, the founder of the Israel Electric Company Pinchas Rutenberg, as well as renowned rabbis and Hasidic leaders, including the holy Or HaChaim, Rabbi Kook, and the Rash ash.
