The City of David invites you to travel through time – between the wonderful hidden world in the National Park and innovative augmented reality (VR) technology.
Come and see in our VR tour, through augmented reality glasses, the stories of the Bible, history and the great dramas of Jerusalem as you have never seen before, on a tour that gives color, sound and feeling to the stories in the place where it all began.

Essential Information

Important note: It is difficult to find parking next to the Kotel and the City of David. These are our recommended arrival directions.

Arrival by private car:

Karta and Mamilla parking lots (fee charged):

Walking distance from Karta / Mamilla parking lots to the City of David is approximately 20 minutes. Arrival by taxi is recommended.
Mt. Zion parking lot (fee charged):

Zion Gate / David’s Tomb parking lot (fee charged) – Approximately 9-minute walk to the City of David. Parking based on availability.

Navigation for walking:
Coming from the Kotel, turn left at the Dung Gate and it is a 2-minute walk to the City of David.

Public transportation to the City of David

Egged bus routes:
Route 1 – Central Bus Station – Kotel
Route 3 – Central Bus Station – Kotel
Route 38 – Jewish Quarter (circular route the goes by the Kotel)
Route 2 – From Kikar Tzahal (IDF Square) / Yitzhak Kariv Street (circular route operated by Superbus)

Taxis:
Taxis are always allowed to enter through Jaffa Gate; therefore, you can get to the City of David by taxi.

The City of David National Park is a secure site, and we work in full cooperation with the security forces.

Unfortunately, due to the limitations of the archeological site, it is not wheelchair accessible

Parking is very limited,we highly reccomend to use public transportation.

The tour is suitable for children aged 8+

The VR tour is available in Hebrew and English.
