City Of David Story in 90 Seconds

The King’s Valley is located a short walk from the Western Wall and the Dung Gate, in the Kidron Valley Channel, between the City of David and the Mount of Olives. Green olive trees, the Old City Walls looming in the distance and the sounds of bells ringing in the distance create a breathtaking and magical atmosphere.

On Chol Hamoed Passover, the valley comes to life with a colorful festival that includes street theatre, an ancient-styled guest tent, workshops for kids and camel riding, all offered free of charge!

You are invited to join free guided tours along the Kidron Channel, coined the “Petra of Jerusalem”. Massive and magnificent stone monuments were carved into stone two thousand years ago. Today, these three monuments are known as Absalom’s Pillar, the Tomb of Zechariah and Tomb of Benei Hezir.

One may also cool off in the refreshing waters of the Shiloah Tunnel and walk by the light of flashlights through the underground water system. *Costs a symbolic fee.
A motorized vehicle will take you to the water tunnel, an experience in itself!
