Come Discover Ancient Jerusalem at the City of David

Two thousand years ago, an extensive water system was built to bring water to Jerusalem. Two of these elaborate tunnels brought water from Solomon’s Pools, near Bethlehem to the Temple and the Upper City of Jerusalem.
Our tour is filled with incredible views of Ancient Jerusalem from key vantage points along the Armon Hanatziv Promenade. Here we will discuss the importance of the water system that Herod built south of Jerusalem.  Then we will descend into the Lower Aqueduct, flashlights in hand, to see up close the magnitude of this conduit system.
The meeting point for the tour is at the Information Booth on the Armon Hanatziv-Haas Promenade.
  • Tour Length-1 ½ hours (approx)

  • The tour will be specifically enjoyable for those that enjoy long walks

  • Advance registration is not necessary
