When the Past Meets the Future: A Segway Tour Back to Ancient Jerusalem

The Segway tour begins in the Peace Forest, located in southeastern Jerusalem between the Armon HaNatziv Promenade and Abu Tor. The tour is conducted on the Segway vehicle, which can reach a maximum speed of 20 km per hour. Feeling light and breezy, we will set out on a two hour tour which would have taken us an entire day of walking on foot!
The first stop on our tour is the Haas Promenade, an enchanting spot with green grassy expanses, diverse landscapes and a central overlook toward eastern and western Jerusalem.

Jamie Geller is widely known to the English speaking Jewish community thanks to her popular cooking show, which boasts a quarter of a million views per episode and a million visitors. She was also involved in the production of several successful television series such as “The Sopranos,” “Entourage” and more. After returning to her traditional Jewish roots, Jamie became an Orthodox chef famous among American Jews.
Two years ago, Jamie moved to Israel, where she films her cooking show – “Joy of Israel,” combining local cuisine with interesting locations.

Special Hanukkah Discovery

First ever discovery of Hasmonean period building in Jerusalem uncovered in archaeological excavations in the City of David. Josephus wrote about Jerusalem in the Hasmonean period, but this marks the first discovery of original structural remains from this period in the city’s history.
